Travel in Luxurious Style and Comfort in the all-new Luxury Suites on the American Queen®

This year, during her annual six-week lay-up period, the American Queen received four newly-renovated suites. Eight cabins on Deck 5 were combined into four Luxury Suites, due to the large demand for the higher-end cabins on the vessel. These accommodations have been a wild success with guests on the first few cruises of the season and are nearly sold out throughout the fall of 2017.

These lavish new suites are just over 350 square feet including interior and exterior access, both living and sleeping areas and a spacious bathroom. From the interior entrance, you are welcomed by a rich walnut built-in vanity with mirror and desk area, as well as the entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom is stunning, featuring marble tile from floor-to-ceiling. It has a shower and tub combination, as well as a double vanity. As you continue through the suite, you will find a queen bed with a plush headboard and walnut built-in closets for storage, as well as a mini-fridge, Keurig® coffee maker and bar area. A large, flat-screen TV is mounted on the wall towards the center of the suite for easy viewing from the bed and seating areas. A second desk area, two plush arm chairs and a love seat complete the room, along with beautiful French doors that open to the deck.

Welcome to the American Duchess!

We are thrilled to introduce the newest edition to our fleet, the American Duchess. The paddlewheeler is being created from a 1995 hull and completely reconstructed to become one of the most luxurious river cruising vessels in the country, featuring single-seating main dining and entertainment venues, soaring ceilings, and all of the amenities that guests have come to expect from the American Queen Steamboat Company cruise line. We Have Come a Long Way!
