Discounted Parking in Memphis
As a show of our southern hospitality, we would like to offer guests of the American Queen the opportunity to park at Shoppers Garage for a discounted rate of $7.50 per day. Guests need only present their booking confirmation to the parking attendant upon arrival to receive the discount. Shoppers Garage is within one mile of Beale Street Landing, where the American Queen will dock:

Special Amtrak Fares
For guests that would like to see a bit more of the country, Amtrak offers discounts for both seniors and AAA members on both one-way and round-trip Amtrak travel. Passengers with questions about schedules, fares and accommodations may call Amtrak toll-free at 800-USA-RAIL or may visit www.amtrak.com. This is an ideal way to avoid the hassles of flying and works well for most of our departure and arrival ports. Unlike the airlines, Amtrak does not charge for checked luggage. Tickets may be purchased from a travel agent or directly from Amtrak.
Some routes may require overnight stops in one direction or another; the cost incurred for any layovers is the responsibility of the passenger. For complete train schedules and information about accommodations, visit www.amtrak.com.
Special Transfer Service
Many guests prefer to drive to the port of embarkation, or to purchase round-trip air tickets in and out of the same city. This program makes it both easy and affordable since you return to the city where you originated without hassle or inconvenience. On our voyages between Memphis and New Orleans, we offer special Amtrak fares back to the port of embarkation on the day the voyage ends only. Our return train service will drop you off in the port of embarkation. Outbound flights should be booked for late in the evening.
